Our consultants will deliver proof-of-concept projects, topical workshops, and lead implementation projects. These professional services engagements will focus on key customer solutions such as, web applications, enterprise applications, HPC, batch processing and big data, archiving and disaster recovery, education and government.
AWS Global Professional Services is looking for an experienced IT consultant with deep technical expertise in their specialty area with the ability to travel internationally as required to support our customers. They will have a strong combination of relevant industry and technical experience plus exceptional people skills. They will be fast learners and serve as trusted advisors for our customer’s architects and IT leaders. They will collaborate with multiple AWS engineering teams to introduce and refine new platform web services for our Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) customers. The team will harvest, package and publish HCLS best practices and repeatable offerings to AWS partners to accelerate their transition to a cloud based IT model using AWS.
Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
Responsibilities and Abilities include:
Expertise: Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Simple DB/RDS databases, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), etc.
Solutions: Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements that drives AWS platform adoption for HCLS customers. Provide leadership on various IT disciplines such as AWS architectures, cloud operations optimization, AWS migrations, security, and the integration of AWS services to support customer global requirements.
Delivery: Lead high quality delivery of a variety of deeply technical engagements with partners and global customers, enabling breakthrough business outcomes.
