    The NA Outbound Transportation Cost Analytics team is seeking talented Senior Program Managers for an exciting opportunity to help us to improve the customer shipment cost performance across our North American fulfillment network.

    In this position you will be responsible for managing projects as well as performing ad-hoc analysis. The successful candidate will need to thrive in a constantly evolving business environment and been able to influence cross functional teams. They will use their project management, analytical skills, and expertise in transportation and supply chain to deliver insights and solutions to complex fulfillment challenges. They should be comfortable presenting results to senior leadership and be able to quickly analyze large data sets to identify complex patterns and relationships resulting in operational solutions to real business problems. This role offers an opportunity to understand how Amazon fulfills customers’ demand in a continuously high growth and evolving environment.

    Our team is a highly visible team in charge of identifying anomalies and improving outbound trans cost related to Units per Boxes (including shipment splits), inventory placement, and other outbound trans opportunities (e.g. reduce airfreight shipments) while partnering with business teams (Transportation, Finance, Supply Chain, Promise, and Delivery Experience) as well with technology teams.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
    • 5+ years of industry experience with quantitative analysis
    • Ability to earn trust of cross-functional teams and stakeholders
    • Experience using any/all of the following: Ruby, Oracle, Redshift, SQL, Tableau to drive analytical projects
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The role requires effective communication with senior management as well as with colleagues from operations and business backgrounds
    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated ability to frame complex problems and extract insights that led to tangible business results
    • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to support multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence
    • Core Program and Project Management skills (regular updates, program flashes, data audits, review meetings, process audits)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Masters degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics or related discipline
    • Experience with BI analytics/reporting/visualization tools
    • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics
