  • Job Description

    The Finance Principal supporting Global Tax will partner closely with senior leaders to manage their annual spend, including headcount. The role is also responsible for managing Tax vendor payments and working cross-functionally to improve and/or automate existing procure-to-pay processes. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and cross-functionally is a must. Ideal candidate must be customer-focused and have ability to look around corners to support a global, growing organization. This role requires strong self-motivation, a process orientation and high interest in solving process and technology problems. Influencing and team building skills are essential for the success of this position.

    In this role, your key responsibilities will be:
    • Manage components of forecasting and variance analyses for the Tax organization
    • Mine and analyze data for metrics and decision support
    • Identifying gaps or ideal-state enhancements in existing processes and technology within the procure-to-pay process and implement improvements
    • Lead and own the roadmaps for improvement initiatives and partner with Tech to get features built
    • Help drive accountability for Controllership
    • Think big and invent new ways to apply technology
    • Work closely with tax, accounting, finance, legal and tax technology partners to meet compliance and controllership expectations and ensure scalable solutions

    Basic Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field.
    • 7+ years’ experience in finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in business, or a related field
    • Experience and track record of process improvement and delivery of financial features
    • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop strategy
    • Quantitative background with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
    • Experience working cross-functionally with a wide breadth of stakeholders, users, engineers, and leaders to generate buy-in for the direction you are setting
    • Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation skills
    • Experience in forecasting, variance analyses or accounting
    • Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope and prioritize product requirements
