We are looking for a dynamic, resourceful, and organized Senior Manager that can develop the right team to drive innovation and execute new strategies across the key technology pieces that support the most critical components of this rapidly scaling operation.

    The right leader in this role will drive broad adoption and provide unparalleled customer experience. They will be in charge of both the product and the technology. They will develop a strategic and tactical plan that drives our last mile operation vision forward at Amazon’s pace of business. They will lead the organization through change, evolution, and sustained growth. They will evolve and scale the organization along with the business. They will lead by example, being just as passionate about operational performance and predictability as they are about all other aspects of the customer experience. With the business growing this rapidly, this leader will not have the luxury of having tunnel-vision for any one area; rather, this individual will need to exhibit excellent judgment on how to prioritize between focusing on existing versus new customers and between features, architectural improvements and operational excellence.

    In this product and technical management role, you will be responsible for the toolset that operators use across the operations lifecycle to connect packages to delivery drivers. You will connect new ideas to the organization and expand the product portfolio by creating business cases, performing research and analysis, writing requirements, and managing the process all the way to product release. You must be a customer focused individual. This position requires strong self-motivation, people leadership, and project management skills and the ideal candidate will have the ability to work closely with both operations and technology to develop automated solutions for complex, technology and market-related challenges. This position is part of the worldwide transportation strategy and technology team, with global responsibility.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Create the vision and roadmap with tools and systems that makes traditional and crowd-sourced delivery possible and realizes our operational strategic vision
    • Identify opportunities, create business cases, and champion your vision to build organizational alignment
    • Write requirements and specifications and drive the product development schedule from design to release
    • Perform the supporting research and analysis for your products including gathering raw data and key metrics using Excel, Access, SQL and turning this data into insightful recommendations for the business
    • Work cross functionally with development, operations, and other product managers to deliver groundbreaking logistics technology
    • Partner with UX designers to build an interface that is simple and accessible to users around the world
    • Define, prioritize, and plan the resources needed for programs/projects to be delivered on time
    • Monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with its target date, ensuring the overall integrity within the program
    • Successful candidates will be excellent communicators, curious, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams
