People Science is a team within Human Resources that focuses on supporting employees and managers in Amazon’s worldwide operations organization. Our goal is to help develop leaders, remove barriers that can get in the way of delivering for customers, and continue to make Amazon a place where builders come to build. People Science products integrate with internal and external systems to support thousands of simultaneous users across multiple languages.
The People Science team is looking for an experienced product manager to own the vision and definition for products associated with leadership assessment, leadership development and the Amazon employee experience. Responsibilities include driving customer research and requirements definition for WW Operations, and working with research and business analysis teams to launch best-in-class products that start with the customer and work backwards. Successful products will be highly innovative and use technology to simplify traditional approaches, such as using machine learning and predictive capabilities to improve how we work at Amazon. This position will work with multiple business stakeholders to ensure optimal communication and alignment on the product roadmap. The ability to use both formal and informal negotiating skills across Amazon's cross-matrix organization is critical to the success of this role.

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Science, HR or related field · 5+ years of product management in a software applications environment · Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing company-wide programs · Excellent written/verbal communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams and presenting to leadership · Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technical concepts and communicate with technical teams.
5+ years of software development experience as a manager Deep hands-on technical expertise; prior experience as a software developer or software development manager preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to navigate ambiguity and delivery incrementally to the right direction A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and a track record of shipping software on time Experience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance A passion for people management and mentorship
