    The Product Replenishment team is looking for a Senior UX Designer to own and drive the experience for customers reordering their frequent purchases on Amazon. In this role, you will own design direction for several large retail initiatives. First, Subscribe & Save - a multi-billion dollar business with unique customer value proposition and dedicated workflows to create and manage product subscriptions to achieve a north-star zero-friction shopping experience. Second, Virtual Dash Buttons - uniquely Amazonian, playful reordering shortcuts that let customers shop across desktop computers, mobile app and via an emerging category of smart screen devices and appliances, such as smartwatches, screened fridges, smart mirrors, etc. Lastly, you will drive design for Subscription & Discovery Boxes - a new capability that lets Amazon selling partners offer subscription boxes (think delivering fun boxes of Funko figurines, wine samples or monthly chocolate fixes). You'll be part of a world-class team in a fast-paced environment that has the entrepreneurial feel of a start-up.

    The ideal candidate is passionate about making complex things feel simple for our customers and has experience working on consumer-facing UX designs. We are looking for strong blue sky/ideation skills, robust holistic systems thinking, deep attention to detail, and passion for delivering simple and delightful experiences.
    You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of UX designers, researchers, product managers, and developers. Collaboration and product ownership is essential, requiring you to be a great communicator, be able to successfully present and align with the business and tech teams. Additionally, this design role has high leadership visibility (up to an SVP level) so you need be able to convincingly present your work to senior leadership and support it with data. Lastly, you must be able to work with ambiguity, understand how your design decisions influence the overall customer experience and deliver designs that elevate it as a whole.

    Basic Qualifications

    • At least 6+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar UX-related role
    • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience
    • Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, and user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
    • Experience creating prototypes or highly detailed wireframes for complex operations software
    • Experience with user interface patterns for web
    • At least three years of experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers for implementation of designs
    • Strong time-management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with UX design for complex workflows and/or for end users
    • Experience with large-scale operations products
    • Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed

    • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related UX degree
    • Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research)
