Amazon Advertising is launching a new program that enables brands to connect with customers in relevant and engaging ways. We are seeking an accomplished, senior marketing professional to lead the go-to-market strategy of our business. In this role, you will work to understand our customers which range from small business owners selling products on Amazon to the largest brands, and translate their needs across multiple teams, including channel marketing, product and engineering, legal, retail, and training teams. As an owner, you will define the go to market strategy and plan, execute the plan, and leverage your analytical skills to evaluate product adoption and define and execute the actions needed to meet long-term goals.
Specific functions are as follows: · Design and execute the strategy to recruit brands to the program. · Own go-to-market strategy and execution of product launches. · Develop unique selling proposition, voice, value propositions and messaging frameworks, and drive articulation of product portfolio positioning, aligned to customer and business goals. · Own the Marketing Channel mix including ensuring profitable acquisition of brands and testing new channels as appropriate. · Create compelling marketing collateral to drive adoption. · Create compelling marketing collateral to increase brand retention. · Conduct adoption analysis and develop recommendations for growth initiatives. · Track and analyze the customer journey from Awareness to Retention and optimize based on findings. · Own the marketing metrics dashboard, including customer acquisition and retention metrics and specific channel inputs and outputs.
· 6+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably Brand Marketing and/or B2B Marketing. · Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related discipline Extraordinary oral and written communication skills. · Strong bias for data-driven decision-making and experience in distilling complex, analytically dense products into client-facing solutions. · Demonstrated experience in driving adoption across different domains. · Ability to synthesize customer needs to improve customer experience · Demonstrated experience creating compelling sales collateral and marketing materials. · Demonstrated experience launching new digital products or services.
· MBA. · In depth knowledge of how sellers & vendors operate on Amazon. · Experience in recruiting brands. · Project management experience. · Great attention to detail. · Digital advertising and advertising technology experience. · Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to try different things with minimal direction. · Experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, PR, Legal, and Research. · Quick decision-making abilities demonstrating bias for action under tight timing and pressure. · Experience in implementing scaled processes.
