    Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a partner sales leader for its public sector business to manage its national partner manager team. The leader will be responsible for driving awareness and adoption of partner-led workloads on AWS’s global cloud computing platform and for working closely with AWS’ US Federal, State & Local Government and Education teams.

    As National Partner Sales Leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include growing and managing a highly talented partner sales team focused on driving revenue, adoption, and market awareness through partners into all segments of the US public sector market. This includes building coordinated and comprehensive go-to-market investment plans with our strategic national partners, and working extensively with internal teams including technical leadership, commercial sales, public policy, legal, marketing, contracts and executive teams to ensure growth through, to and with AWS’ national partners.

    The ideal candidate will possess a partner sales management background that enables them to lead a team of senior partner development manager with sales, technical and marketing engagements at all levels of the partnership and will be able to quickly adapt to changing business conditions when needed.

    Roles & Responsibilities:
    Continue to mentor and to grow the assigned partner development management team
    Assign quota and quarterly goals, and ensure partner team has the appropriate tools and resources to be successful
    Manage and coach the team for optimal performance
    Accelerate customer adoption and customer satisfaction through partners and in coordination with sales
    Drive revenue and market share through partners with precise forecasting
    Maintain and accurately manage a robust sales pipeline
    Manage contract negotiations with partners
    Develop long-term strategic relationships with partners and communicate frequently with sales, technical, marketing and executive stakeholders

    This position requires moderate travel.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 10 + years of experience providing technology solutions within the Public Sector
    • 8+ years of experience driving growth through and with cross-functional teams including technical, sales, marketing and segmentation, public policy, legal and other organizations
    • 5+ years of successful experience managing high performing partner teams
    • In-depth experience working with transformative technology including cloud, IoT, business intelligence, analytics
    • BS level degree or equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA
    • Cloud sales and partner experience
    • Experience influencing key stakeholders
    • Proven experience with consistent partner growth and quota attainment
    • Extensive relevant partner network
    • Public Sector knowledge and experience.
    • Salesforce experience (Reports and CRM).
    • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft client ready documents, email and internal reports.
    • Technical experience and a solid understanding of cloud computing.
    • AWS Technical Certifications.
    • Self-starter with the ability to function in a fast paced environment.
