    We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to help create and execute the AWS Diversity & Inclusion Strategy. Working within the Talent Acquisition team you will you will plan, execute, and deliver scalable diversity programs for conferences/events, branding, recruiter education, business mechanisms and analytical insights. These programs will include multiple formats; including frameworks, self-service tools, in-person development activities, and consultation to support the organization. Just as importantly, you will track and communicate results at the senior leadership level. Ability to access and analyze quantitative and qualitative data, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, address partner concerns, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs as they implement centralized guidance around diversity program execution is critical. This role requires the ability to be a thought leader, to customize solutions to the AWS organization and the unique Amazon culture, to educate and influence a team of passionate and engaged leaders, and the ability to translate strategies or prior practices into practical and actionable solutions.

    The successful candidate will have experience driving, initiating, and delivering people-related change management programs, earning trust with customers, and translating research into action. You should not only be passionate about delivering meaningful diversity solutions but obsessed with rigorous goal-setting, continuous process improvement, and mentorship. In this role, you will have the opportunity to;

    • Translate industry best practices into readily consumable programs and products aligned to business need. Develop goals and strategies; implement and scale initiatives globally across large, diverse and multifunctional organization.
    • Provide consulting to Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners and business leaders to develop appropriate insights.
    • Earn trust across a range of levels and disciplines to establish yourself and the team as a trusted subject matter expert.
    • Inspire and connect people to drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years in experience working specifically in Diversity & Inclusion work within human resources; understanding “field” perspective is a plus.
    • Strong agile project management skills, successful teaming with colleagues, and a strong results orientation.

    • A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and management.
    • Ability to motivate, influence and optimize senior leadership, stakeholders and peer groups.
    • Consistently and effectively leads project management and creative program development across a variety of mediums.
    • Influences others to achieve solutions to meet organization’s objectives, and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to results. Effectively collaborates with partners to resolve.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities.
    • Demonstrated skills on the following areas: Project management focused on outcomes, systems thinking, data and situational analysis, cross group coordination across all levels of the organization, excellent oral and written communications.
    • Demonstrate ability to influence without direct authority and ability to clearly formulate areas of strength, development and associated recommendations.
    • Attention to detail; strong contracting skills; and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude are required to manage the variety of responsibilities and deliverables.
