Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an innovative and passionate engineer to architect and build a customer-centric billing system that will facilitate AWS’s growth into new industries and global regions. This is a ground breaking opportunity to build a new platform architected in a configurable, self-service based, and horizontally scalable design. We will build a full stack application from scratch using AWS technology to host the platform. You will interface with teams across AWS, including Professional Services, Training, Marketing, and Public Sector to solve unique business problems that only a revolutionary company like Amazon can encounter and solve with software solutions.

A qualified candidate for this role enjoys working with end users, developing customer-focused UX, workflows and web services, and solving business problems with extensible software solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Fluency with Java, C/C++, or C#
  • In-depth knowledge of computer science, data structures and algorithms
  • Strong problem solving ability and object-oriented design skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in CS or an engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in designing and developing web applications
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other software developers
  • Establish and maintain architectural vision for globally distributed web application
