  • Job Description

    The Amazon Devices team is looking for a senior leader to own analytics for Echo, Fire tablet, and Kindle eReaders. A successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, a passion for problem-solving and solution creation, and team leadership experience. You will work with Product Managers (technical and marketing), Go-To-Market/Sales, and Finance leaders to drive analytics that support customer experiences, business strategies, and monetization. We will lead a team of seven Business Intelligence Engineers and Business Analysts and drive the analytical roadmap. The work you do will directly impact what product and services we ship to customers, what marketing and product strategies we pursue, and the overall financial health of our businesses. We are looking for an owner who wants to dive deep into business and drive strategy.

    Successful candidates will demonstrate our leadership principles: a bias for action, deep dive, attention to details, ownership and customer-obsession.

    In this role you will…


    - Own the analytics roadmap, prioritizing deep dives that help drive our product roadmaps
    - Use business analyses to propose innovate and profitable business initiatives to senior management/executives
    - Analyze and synthesize large data streams across multiple inputs
    - Lead a team of Business Intelligence Analyst/Engineers
    - Interface with Product Managers, GTM teams, and Finance
    - Provide regular updates to senior executives across Amazon

    Basic Qualifications

    • 8-12 years of Business Intelligence experience
    • 5 years in a leadership role
    • Successful experience simplifying complex, interactive customer experiences
    • Ability to drive initiatives to completion in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Undergraduate degree required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA, Computer Science, Information Technology or related advanced degree
    • Ability to work with technology to develop innovative solutions
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment.
