Job Description

Consumer Payments is responsible for building the payments foundation used across Amazon’s Consumer organization and leveraged across all of Amazon. Its charter includes building and operating the processing and customer exposure payments technology for Amazon. Its acceptance and experience organization manages the payment methods we accept in most countries around the world, the supply chain needed for Amazon to accept payments, optimizing the paying customer experience, and driving down Amazon’s cost of payments. Consumer Payments is also responsible for creating and operating a collection of Amazon-branded payment products and applications including gift cards, stored value, credit products, currency converter, and shop with points. These products provide features and benefits that are valued by Amazon’s customers and drive economic value to Amazon. Our mission is to provide these capabilities for anyone that wants to interact with Amazon including consumers, businesses, sellers, and developers.
At Amazon, we hire individuals who are customer-obsessed self-starters. We seek to hire the best talent and provide experiences to accelerate their development into HR leaders. As the HR leader for Consumer Payments, you’ll partner with large technical and business leaders to drive the evolution of an organization that has been expanding and diversifying rapidly over the last several years. You will play an integral part in developing the charter, leaders, and strategic direction of core payments products and technology that impacts all of Amazon's digital, retail, and global customers.

In this position, you will

· Establish HR strategies that develop talent and organizational capability to deliver on increasingly challenging expectations from Amazon's biggest businesses.

· Provide leadership in organizational design, talent management, change management, and leadership transformation.

· You will establish ways to measure organizational health and design interventions that address obstacles to success.

In order to be successful, you will need to leverage your assessment and executive coaching skills in order to effectively shape this critical organization. You will need strong analytical skills and the ability to translate client goals into organizational capabilities necessary to achieve results. You will consult with employees at all levels, modeling our peculiar culture and inspiring others to do so as well. As with all roles at Amazon, you'll utilize your exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking and planning, program design knowledge, and mental agility to function in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

At Amazon, we hire individuals who are customer-obsessed self-starters. We seek to hire the best talent and provide experiences to foster their development into ever bigger leaders. Amazon looks for individuals who can think strategically as well as roll up their sleeves and dive deep into practical application. We are looking for Human Resources professionals who have the ability to diagnose issues, then identify and influence the appropriate outcomes.

In this position, you will partner with leaders across the Payment Products, Gift Cards, Stored Value, Acceptance, Paying Experience, and Platform Technologies to develop and execute the strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. The Sr. HR Manager provides leadership for initiatives that support talent management, performance management, new leader coaching, critical talent retention, organizational design, change management, and employee relations. You will own the design, build, and implementation of programs, processes, and tools to help Payments employees at all levels thrive in Amazon’s unique customer-centric environment. You will collaborate with HR teams across the company to improve the quality of engagement and development for employees across global Merchant Services, Retail, and beyond. You will be critical in helping Payments and all of Amazon maintain our peculiar culture as we grow.
