Job Description

Seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Amazon Device Deal Strategy group. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative businesses at Amazon in a role that directly supports VP and Director level business partners along with advising multiple other non-finance partners ranging from legal, to product management, and deal ordinate third parties.

You will be joining a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, where finance has the ability to influence the decisions of senior business device leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives/scenarios. At times your work may be presented directly to the S-team. A successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have an ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities in a complex and dynamic environment.

This candidate will have strong business judgment, willingness to have backbone, and a proven ability to take effective, independent action to improve the business’ overall performance.

This role will include working closely with senior leadership to provide strategic guidance and deal support in multiple rapidly evolving spaces. The job will have an emphasis on forecasting, analyzing current performance and conducting prospective economic analysis over a range of scenarios as it relates to Device deals.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a technical or business field from a well-regarded institution
  • A minimum of at least 7 years of experience demonstrating effective business partnering in a finance capacity (business development, corporate development, banking, consulting, or corporate financial strategy)

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Master Excel skill level
  • Basic understanding of SQL
  • Background, familiarity, or willingness to learn about database tech
  • Familiarity with market research
  • Understanding of economic and other financial return analysis protocols
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • A quantitative thinker able to use numbers to communicate and validate critical concepts as well as able to extract insight from large data-sets
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Grace under presser of delivering high caliber results
