Job Description

We are looking for an innovative professional to design engaging training curriculum for people who are building Alexa skills. As an instructional designer, you will create and continuously improve learning programs using an array of creative approaches that inspire learners and drive productivity and quality.

You’ll work closely with UX designers, technical evangelists, solutions architects, technical writers, and marketing managers for Alexa to design the next generation of learning resources, making it easier for developers to learn the art of skill building and showcasing technical details of the latest cutting-edge features of the Alexa Skills Kit.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in education, communication, or related field
· Experience in an instructional design role
· Experience designing and developing ILT/eLearning materials
· Experience explaining complex topics to a novice audience
· Working knowledge of eLearning development tools such as Captivate, Articulate Studio/Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, or Flash
· Experience using multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes
· Demonstrated adult learning implementation and driving performance through training
· Experience evaluating training effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders and leaders

Preferred Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in instructional design within related field (big data, speech and language data, etc.)
· Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or similar field
· Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications as appropriate (CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.)
· Program or project management skills
· Experience creating technical/tool training for systems-based learning
· Expertise with markdown, HTML, CSS, and static site generators
· Experience with web technologies including JavaScript
· Experience with internationalization
