Job Description

Amazon is seeking a junior project manager to join its Corporate Development team. This individual will join a small but highly visible team that supports the integration planning and execution efforts for all of Amazon's acquisitions. This is a new role that will support integration managers in tracking progress on all acquisitions, across multiple corporate functions, including Security, HR, Tax, Legal, FinOps, Accounting, and Communications. This analyst will provide versatile support to integration managers during the due diligence phase. Specifically, this individual will assist in onboarding projects, organizing onsite diligence sessions, scheduling non-standard interview loops, and other event/logistics tasks. This role will face diverse obstacles, require a strong cross-functional skillset, and the ability to solve problems creatively despite ambiguity.

In addition, this role will own the newly formed integration project management office. Responsibilities will include managing data collection and structure from past and current transactions, providing regular and ad hoc reporting & status updates, owning and updating the acquisition integration team wiki, and conducting analysis to provide insight on systemic issues facing Amazon subsidiaries throughout the integration process.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to:
  • Support several acquisition integration projects simultaneously
  • Gather and organize unstructured project information for the purpose of analysis and reporting
  • Define, track and communicate appropriate performance measurements to project teams and stakeholders
  • Partner with functional managers to align on success criteria, project tracking & timeline, and nomenclature
  • Provide flexible ad hoc support to integration managers on active diligence and integration projects
  • Own research projects to identify systemic issues and/or insight relevant to how we acquire, integrate, and retain key talent
  • Maintain and improve documentation record keeping

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of project or program management experience
  • Strong analytical skills with experience conducting analysis in excel

  • Experience in the integration of acquisitions

  • Experience designing, owning, and maintaining a document archival system (E.g., S3, SharePoint)
