Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

The Role:
As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for scoping and delivering a large end to end project. You will have the opportunity to engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive of and design innovative methods for collecting, storing, processing, annotating and visualizing data used to develop artificial intelligence via machine learning. You will be comfortable working across time zones and through ambiguity. You thrive through building consensus and driving teams towards specific goals and results. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

You will:
* Work with key stakeholders in product management, software development, data collection and executive teams to define strategy and requirements
* Lead cross-functional development on new technology from design through delivery
* Work with remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines
* Own your program and all aspects of managing it through launch
* Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control
* Stand with & defend your convictions as well as accept others’ point of views when needed

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering)
* 5+ years of relevant work experience in technical program/project management in a consumer electronics environment
* Knowledge of software development (Device, Application, Cloud)
* Knowledge of data collection and how to apply the data to develop machine learning algorithms
* Big data experience with more than 1 of the following technologies: Hadoop, Mesos, Spark, MPI, and Zeppelin
* Knowledge of Engineering process, with detailed understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles
* Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets
* Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
* Demonstrate experience in project management and coordinating/driving release schedules

Preferred Qualifications


* Master’s or advanced technical degree
* Creative leader with superior analytical abilities
* Strong problem solving and negotiation skills to earn trust and influence partners and teams
* Knowledge of hardware development process and lifecycle
* Familiarity with cloud-based services & development
* Experience defining and managing ETL processes and pipelines for large scale data using Python.
* Experience with defining and managing large scale distributed systems and scalable solutions using cloud services
(including many of the following: EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, Kinesis, Elastic Search, RDS, QuickSight, Glacier, Redshift, Elastic Map Reduce and/or Kibana)
* Prior experience as a software developer is a plus
* Experience supporting machine learning applications and data scientists
* Familiarity with complex systems and design flows
