Job Description

At AWS, we are looking for a professional services consultant with a successful record of leading enterprise customers through a variety of transformative directory services and integration projects.
Professional Services consultants engage in a wide variety of projects for Customers and partners, providing and sharing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

  • Specialty Practice growth - by working with engineering, business development, and solution architect teams, ensure that the technical skills to deploy Directory Services solutions successfully are clearly defined and developed in the ProServe Area Practices
  • Engage customers - collaborate with enterprise sales managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships
  • Be a customer advocate - work with AWS engineering, business development, solution architect team to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps and go-to-market strategies
  • Coach and teach - collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, support, and consultants to help partners and customers learn and deploy Microsoft Active Directory/Identity and Authentication solutions integrating with AWS
  • Deliver value - advise on delivery of Microsoft Enterprise Software based solutions running on AWS by leading engagements with partners and enterprise customers in the commercial and public sectors.
  • Lead great people - help Area Practices attract top specialist with the expertise to implement enterprise class identity and access management solutions on AWS, help build high performing teams of consultants with superior technical depth, and outstanding customer relationship skills
  • Ability to travel to client locations is essential.
  • Primary specialist locations will be located in the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Engineering, Computer Science or Math background preferred
  • 10+ or more years of IT implementation experience
  • Customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Deep hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale plus current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Enterprise software solutions (on premises or in cloud)
  • Proven expertise with Identity and Access Management solutions
  • Ability to travel to client locations is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the primary AWS services
  • Familiarity with implementing Microsoft Enterprise software and required deployment skills for the cloud (AD & Infrastructure)
  • Visible IT Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to enterprise IT infrastructure and contact center integration
  • Experience with design of modern, scalable delivery models for technology consulting services
  • Use of AWS services in distributed environments with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
  • Proven depth in designing and deploying Directory services, SAML, Kerberos, Group Policy, PowerShell, Identity Management - all in an enterprise context.
