Job Description

Come join us in working on Amazon Alexa and the future of voice-powered connected devices! We are looking for an outstanding technical writer to create and deliver documentation and eLearning training materials for the Alexa developer community. With experience documenting technical processes, workflows, and multi-media intense procedural instructions and training content, you will play a key role in creating an easy 'on-ramp' for our partners who are building Alexa into their products.

To be successful in this role, you need to read and understand technical documents that was created by our Subject matter experts (SME’s) and make it “easy” and “engaging” for our targeted audience to consume.
You should be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You should be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for delivering excellent documentation.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, or Learning Technology, Instructional Design or a relevant field
  • 5 years of experience organizing and structuring customer facing technical documents and creating self-paced eLearning
  • 5 years of experience creating web-based training material in High-tech Industry



Preferred Qualifications

  • Create assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of learning content using key performance metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize technical/functional content into something creative that developers enjoy consuming
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality
  • Experience architecting, writing, and editing technical documentation for hardware and software developers
  • Passion to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment.
  • A proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results.
  • Proficiency with digital video equipment / editing package, graphic design packages, etc.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects with tight deadlines and time-critical deliverables through their entire life cycle
