Job Description

AWS began offering its technology infrastructure platform in 2006. At this point, we have over a million active customers using AWS in every imaginable way, and have developed considerable experience operating at scale. We’ve also innovated and delivered at a very rapid pace, e.g. delivering 1,017 significant features in 2016 alone. The AWS Partner Network (APN) is the global partner program for AWS. It is focused on helping tens of thousands of APN Partners build successful AWS-based businesses or solutions by providing business, technical, marketing, and go-to-market support.
AWS is looking for Solutions Architects to work with partners building software solutions and consulting practices for Alexa for Business. This is a hands-on, highly technical position for someone who can dive deep, build complex, AWS-optimized architectures, and develop a long-term strategy with AWS business development and service teams.
You must have deep technical experience working with technologies related to voice services, plus ideally some expertise in AI/ML/deep learning. You must be familiar with the ecosystem of partners in the business solutions, digital assistant and voice services space, and will leverage this knowledge to help us decide where AWS should invest from a partnership and product perspective.
Candidates must have great communication skills and be very technical, with the ability to impress AWS customers at any level, from executive to developer. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required, provided you have experience building solutions that run in virtualized environments. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers at both top software vendors and AWS service teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation.
This position can be based in Seattle, San Francisco, New York or Boston.
Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of highly technical, hands-on job experience

  • 3+ years working with enterprise customers
  • Technical consulting and architecture with large-scale, customer-facing engagements
  • Experience using and adapting to new technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering or mathematics
