    We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to develop the future of Transport Layer Security (TLS) in AWS. You will be responsible for the service that secures communication between AWS and our customers. You will also contribute to the open source TLS library, S2N. You will build a system which is extremely secure, salable, and always available. We work with protocols at the lowest level. You will work with team of software development engineers who are the best of the best.

    You are smart, passionate and customer obsessed. You love building new systems which fundamentally change how things are done. You hate status quo and believe that we are only limited by our imagination. You are want to do amazing things and build systems that would become part of technical folklore.     Basic Qualifications

    • 3+ years of software development experience
    • Fluency with either C or Java
    • Deep understanding of TLS
    • In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms
    • Proven track record of customer obsession and team work
    • Strong problem solving ability and object-oriented design skills
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
    • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • Experience building extremely high volume and highly scalable web services
    • Experience building highly available systems and operating 24x7 services
    • Experience with distributed systems, consistent hashing, distributed locking, replication, and load balancing

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • Experience developing TLS Ciphers and Protocol
    • Master’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related discipline
