Job Description

Are you one of those rare technologists as comfortable working with engineering teams, as talking with a journalist? The AWS Outbound Product Management team is hiring!
In this role, you will define the strategy for how we communicate Amazon EC2 Enterprise Solutions to drive the success of the EC2 business. You will be responsible for defining our product positioning and messaging, in particular to drive growth of enterprise workloads in targeted industries. You’ll get to work on a large-scale business, and have a big impact every day.

Roles and Responsibilities
§ Define new solutions targeted at key industries and enterprise workloads
§ Own the development of all value propositions, core content, and go-to-market strategies for Amazon EC2 Enterprise Solutions
§ Own the development of relevant and compelling audience-specific messages and tools (customer success stories, demos, whitepapers, presentations, how to guides, and more)
§ Identify and influence breakthrough product marketing activities that reach target audience effectively
§ Work with product management, partner marketing, enterprise marketing and engineering teams to distill key functionality and benefits into core marketing messages
§ Engage with our Analyst Relations teams as appropriate
§ Work effectively across AWS with groups such as sales, business development, solutions architects, and evangelists to achieve business goals







Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
§ 10-15 years of relevant work experience as a Product Manager, in fields such as hi-tech marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing management
§ A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science
§ Demonstrated track record in crafting compelling positioning and marketing content
§ A bias for action for developing awesome marketing assets (product videos, web content)
§ A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and a knack for driving and/or being associated with benchmark industry products/services
§ Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
§ The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
§ Superior written communication skills
§ You should also be a strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives

Preferred Qualifications

§ MBA and/or computer science, engineering, technology background is preferred
§ 10 + years of product marketing experience
§ Experience with enterprise software solutions preferred
