A strategic part of our charter is to build a portfolio of self-service, cost-per-click advertising programs to enable both large and small advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. Examples of products already in the market are Sponsored Products and Amazon Marketing Services (AMS). We are building a new team who will own go to market strategy, adoption, advertiser success for Self-Service Performance Advertising programs. This team will have functional expertise in marketing, product, account management, market analysis, and program management.
We are looking for a data-driven, results focused Program Manager to devise strategies for advertiser success on Amazon. As a Program Manager, you will work cross-functionally with marketing, product, technology, data engineering, and operations teams, to define advertiser success given the breadth and depth of ad products and the foundational retail businesses that provide the platform for our advertising business. You will work to define a strategy to grow advertisers into this defined success path, instrumenting strategies with product, marketing, and advertiser-facing teams. There is an opportunity to positively influence the lives of advertisers and millions of customers, via data driven strategies that could accelerate the Amazon ad business.
The ideal candidate is comfortable defining strategies in an ambiguous environment, working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-changing and rapidly growing business. You will need to write and present documents with data driven recommendations to influence leadership. You must be equally comfortable pulling, mining, and analyzing data as you are working with marketing and technology teams. As a Program Manager, a significant portion of your role will be influencing the team’s and partner teams’ roadmaps based on data driven recommendations and well-written documents.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Define and drive development of one-to-one and one-to-many activities to help onboard recently launched advertisers to help them meet their advertising goals.
- Identify key metrics to demonstrate the impact of advertising campaigns.
- Enable advertisers with data that drives smart decisions including recommendations and campaign analytics. Provide advertisers smart and easy to understand reports to drive increased budget and investment.
- Partner with the product marketing and technology teams to develop mechanisms to convey product requirements.
- Identify, define, and implement programs to grow our advertiser base to exceed annual active advertiser and retention goals.
