Job Description

AWS Service Catalog is a fun, innovate, collaborative team looking for rock star full stack Software Development Engineers! AWS Service Catalog allows organizations to create and manage catalogs of IT services that are approved for use on AWS. These IT services can include everything from virtual machine images, servers, software, and databases to complete multi-tier application architectures.

You will join a small, creative, nimble team and help us identify new and innovation features that solve top customer asks. You will work cross-team providing full stack support, developing directly with both AWS services and bleeding edge front-end technologies such as Angular 2 and React. You will work closely with customers, engineers, designers, and product managers from conception through delivery on world class services and applications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's Degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education
  • 2+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
  • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
  • Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • 1+ year with, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, Perl or Python
  • 1+ year front-end experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
