We are currently seeking an Level 1 Infrared Imaging Specialist to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers.

Ideal candidate will possess the ability to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams. The scope of projects will include but is not limited to the improvement of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems. A fundamental understanding of these systems is required, as the individual will be expected to identify areas for improvement as well as act on data provided from other teams and organizations.

Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree
  • Relevant electrical experience
  • Strong understanding of basic physical concepts, to include: optics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and material science
  • Experience managing service projects of all sizes within a data center
  • 4+ Years’ experience in Data Center Engineering, Operations, IT Services, or Relevant Mission Critical Environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain vendor relationships
  • Shows good judgment and instincts in decision-making
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter
  • Quantitative analytical abilities
  • Ability to recognize safety concerns and maintain a safe work environment under NFPA 70e guidelines
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications



  • State Certified Journeyman Electrician or higher
  • Level 1 ASNT Recognized Certification
  • Direct and relevant experience in Data Center Engineering Operations, with a deep understanding of construction/commissioning, electrical, mechanical, and Information Technology systems
  • Expert level of understanding of electrical best practices, processes, tools, and metrics with the ability to apply methodologies to new construction, retrofits, and special projects
  • Expert level of understanding of IR best practices, processes, tools, and metrics with the ability to apply methodologies to new construction, retrofits, and special projects
