Job Description

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to support Amazon Games Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). This role will be responsible for managing financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, forecast process and providing analytical support to senior management. This position will be responsible for providing reporting and business support for data-driven decision making.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and be able to create and maintain efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting financial metrics that are timely, accurate, and actionable.
Key Responsibilities

  • Own the consolidation and reporting of the global P&Ls for the Games businesss
  • Manage the financial planning and analysis effort and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities
  • Create financial narratives and documents to support key deliverables, including backup detail into assumptions
  • Standardize financial reports for the finance teams and senior management; drive process improvements and ensure consistency across teams
  • Partner with the Games finance teams to standardize, streamline, and prioritize projects to increase reliability and efficiency of deliverables
  • Streamline planning cycles, as well as identify and prioritize opportunities to improve efficiency with automation
  • Be a subject matter expert of the Cognos financial reporting/planning tools; partner with Corporate Finance to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant finance experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Strong track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Advanced analytical skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Experience establishing processes and coordinating multiple teams to facilitate timely and accurate deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial reporting software (Cognos/Oracle)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with SQL or ETL preferred, but not required
