Amazon Lumberyard is a free AAA game engine deeply integrated with AWS and Twitch – with full source. The Lumberyard team aspires to help game developers create the highest quality games, engage massive communities of fans, and connect their games to the vast compute and storage of the cloud.
Amazon Game Services is looking for an all around artist. The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting, inventing, and documenting workflows for artists creating assets for game development. These assets will be developed for and used with the Lumberyard game engine and created alongside the development teams that are building the engine. You will need to be proficient at modeling, scripting and automating applications such as Maya or 3DS Max. You will need to be comfortable troubleshooting and inventing within game engines. You will work with both our internal teams and external partners, including art, design, and technical discipline leads, to solve their challenges. You will provide direction to peers, and need to be comfortable with artistic critique. Our games span from real-time next-gen graphics to pre-rendered assets. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable doing both.
