Job Description

Come and join the external security services team at AWS! We’re building new services that are designed to help customers protect the applications and services that they run on AWS. This team is based in Seattle and is composed of software engineers, security engineers and data scientists. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the security market segment and building services prior to their launch.

We need a Web Developer to help us build a cutting edge, large scale web application that will impact a wide range of AWS customers. We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge of current web development technologies who is truly passionate about user experience. You will work closely with designers, engineers and product managers from conception through delivery.

If you have a passion for creating impactful web applications that will redefine the AWS customer experience, come join our team! A successful candidate should not only have a solid background in the fundamentals of software development, but also loves to use best of breed technologies and techniques, such as Progress Web Apps (PWA), React, and Angular 2.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of software product development experience
  • 3+ years in developing web applications with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Math, or some other quantitative discipline
  • Experience working in Agile environment
  • Experience with linux
  • Knowledge of object oriented design Genuine excitement about technology, strong interest in learning
  • Understanding of the MVC design pattern
  • Proven record of designing, developing and operating software
  • Ability to advocate for customers and the integrity of their experience
  • Experience recognizing and utilizing user interface design patterns to solve business problems
