We are looking for a senior HRBP to help drive the people agenda within the AWS Infrastructure Operations physical security team, This role, based in the US ( Seattle, WA or Herndon, VA) is part of a fun and passionate global HR and operations team and requires strong team collaboration and leadership across the global physical security organization.. You will partner with your clients throughout the planning and execution of our people strategy, aligning them back to business strategy. You will also work to improve organizational design and structure, provide change leadership and management coaching, as well as design and deliver training, as needed. And we will all "roll up our sleeves" to get things done.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Work with leaders in the Physical Security organization to develop and implement HR solutions.
§ Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
§ Provide authentic coaching to employees, managers and senior leaders.
§ Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
§ Partner with the business to lead our Organization and Leadership Review, which focuses on succession planning, talent development and organizational health priorities.
§ Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
§ Work with line managers and employees to address various employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.
§ Work with business groups to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within the client group.
§ Actively engage as a strategic member of Infra Operations HRBP team.

Basic Qualifications

§ Bachelor degree in human resources, business, mathematics or science.
§ At least twelve years of experience in a leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management. Previous labor relations experience a plus.
§ Excellent business acumen and an ability to understand a P&L.
§ Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving.
§ Depth of pragmatic experience with compensation planning, negotiation, and implementation.
§ An ability and desire to own a space, provide thought leadership, and catalyze results.
§ Strong judgment and employee relations experience.
§ Able to travel, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

§ MBA or Masters Degree in Organization Development or related field.
§ 3-4 years experience in the tech industry, or if not, successful tenure at two different industries.
§ At least 3 years experience leading and developing senior HR Business Partners.
§ Expertise in assessing management and executive talent.
§ Broad experience and specific knowledge of human resource practices, including employee relations, development and performance appraisal systems.
§ Deep understanding of "what great HR looks like" and how business cycles influence the people agenda.
