Job Description

If so, then the Alexa Catalog Operations Product and Systems (COPS) team is where you want to be. We manage the vibrant 3P Alexa skills catalog, and we’re seeking an energetic, go-getter Program Manager to help own the quality and efficiency of our skill certification process.

The right person for this role will have solid experience launching operations projects, managing deadlines and risks across multiple teams, and communicating effectively to stakeholders.

Our environment is very fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, energetic, a doer, biased for action, detail oriented, and comfortable tracking many threads across many teams.

As Program Manager, you must be willing to dive deep and think big, coordinating across cross functional teams to deliver projects that move the needle on operations goals to ensure an awesome experience for our customers. You'll deliver results when faced with ambiguous circumstances and roadblocks. Your judgment and intuition are right, a lot, and you know when to ask the right questions.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Seasoned program manager with 5+ years of experience managing complex projects with aggressive schedules, across ambiguous landscapes and scarce resources.
  • A first hand working knowledge of current content technologies - apps, HTML5/webapps and voice-based content/skills.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, Sharepoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience with data analytics and data-oriented decision making.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar
  • Experience with Business Intelligence software and SQL querying a plus.
  • A passion for technology, eCommerce, the Internet, digital content, and the mobile/voice market segment
  • Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
  • Ability to manage cross functional projects, dependencies and bottlenecks, provide escalations management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business need versus technical constraints and maximize business benefit while building great customer experience
