Job Description

Launched in early January 2017, virtual Dash Buttons is Amazon's latest initiative to make reordering easier than ever before. We are a passionate group of SDEs, PMs and UXDs building reordering systems and experiences for Voice and Touch enabled devices including IoT.

As a Sr. TPM on the virtual Dash Buttons team, you will be responsible for leading multiple large scale, high visibility, cross functional initiatives to scale dash buttons to various devices, platforms and programs. Your core responsibilities include the following:

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs and balance customer and business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Work with key stakeholders in product management, UX and leadership to define strategy and requirements
  • Lead cross-functional development on key initiatives from design to delivery.
  • Work with dependent teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines
  • Communicate regularly with leadership on status and risks.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in managing large software projects
• 2+ years of coding experience in Java, C++, and Perl
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
• Experience managing efforts in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
• A first-hand working knowledge of current web technologies
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, computer science or related field
  • Experience helping build complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • A good understanding of SDLC models.
  • A strong track record of project delivery for large, multi-team projects
