AVS team is seeking an Operations Manager with the right blend of enthusiasm, customer obsession, curiosity, and creativity to coordinate business requirements and build processes for the AVS team. The Operations manager will be responsible for the coordination of annual plans, reporting, communications, and cross-functional efforts across all AVS geographies. They will help to build the automation and processes for analysis, reporting, and communications that enable the organization to scale and run efficiently.
Key responsibilities for the position include:
· Coordination of the annual planning process across AVS teams
· Coordination of weekly and quarterly business reviews
· Instrumenting analysis and tracking for team goals
· Coordinating business activities across geographies
· Developing automation and processes to streamline operations
· Developing and publishing reports including critical analysis
· Driving problem resolution across functional teams
· Effectively managing complex projects across multiple product and marketing organizations within Amazon to achieve business goals
· Developing operational processes to leverage cross-Amazon capabilities
· Implementing and executing organizational best practices
· Tracking budget, forecasting and reporting on a monthly basis

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of relevant program management experience.
  • MS Office experience required, proficient in Excel
  • Experience querying data and developing performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical orientation; comfort using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Broad experience, across functional and technical areas, developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale programs
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Has a deep understanding of the business’ and end user’s needs, and can proficiently translate those needs into the right solution
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working across multiple business units to achieve results
  • Can properly prioritize competing projects across departments
  • Can identify down-stream process or program problems (i.e. program or system incompatibility, resource unavailability) and escalate them to the appropriate resource before they become project-threatening
  • Has a thorough command of the technology/systems that will be utilized in achieving program goals
  • Experience working with emerging technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
