Amazon Web Services is looking for Solutions Architects to work with our public sector global solutions, capture, and proposal teams. This is a strategic and highly technical position for an experienced IT professional who can dive deep and work across functional teams to identify and develop innovative solutions for our global public sector customers.

As a Solutions Architect on our team, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to AWS customers and partners working with a world class sales and business development team. Your broad responsibilities will include working with public sector customers and internal project teams to develop and validate packaged solutions that highlight AWS capabilities to solve customer mission requirements. As a capture and proposal focused solutions architect you will support both AWS and the broader AWS partner ecosystem RFx efforts. You will work with proposal and capture managers to develop technical solution strategies throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle and support the enablement of AWS Partner organizations.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience successfully architecting technical solutions and supporting complex capture pursuits and proposals. Broad IT domain knowledge, including cloud, cyber security, infrastructure services, software development, or systems architecture is required. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not necessary.
Candidates must have great communication skills and be very technical, with the ability to impress AWS customers at any level, from executive to developer. The position will be based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
