Job Description

AWS is looking for an AWS Assurance Project Manager with customer, security and compliance background to join us. As part of the AWS Security Assurance team, the candidate is the key liaison with AWS customers, AWS account teams, audit teams and compliance resources. The candidate should be an innovative security or compliance professional who can deeply understand IT audits and articulate effectively auditing processes and controls. Narrating IT controls that are built into our products and platforms is a core competency of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables across-functional groups; including deliverable directly to customer and outside stakeholders.
- Manage to tight deadlines and drive for results, while being extremely detail orientated.
- Prepare and direct project plans and track projects through fruition.
- Support metrics, implement data collections mechanisms, analyze data and make recommendations across multiple teams for improvements.
- Gain depth in AWS Compliance content and demonstrate ability to use material to communicate messaging with agility.
- Communicate with confidence and demonstrate consistency in earning trust, delivering results with customer obsession.



Basic Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Informatics, Accounting/Auditing, Cyber Security or other related fields.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data security or compliance consulting or advisory work.
- Experience in performing and/or participating in technical assessments in direct support of a major compliance effort (e.g. SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI, NIST 800-53, or ISO 27001).
- Experience in customer facing, service-oriented roles.

Preferred Qualifications

Work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations. Experience working successfully in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Ability to develop strategy, coordinate multiple workflows, and execute deliverables.
- Experience with technology processes and security practices in regulated industries (e.g. financial services, public sector, telecommunications, healthcare/life sciences, etc.) or major tech companies.
- Experience in generating automated metrics to measure IT security effectiveness and consistency.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and narrate technical assessments and audits of network, operating systems, application security, as well as audit IT processes.
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, ISO 27017/18, PCI DSS, and SOC standards.
- Senior-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Travel may be required.
