Job Description

Do you love books? Do you have a digital marketing background? Take your passion and your career to the next level with the Amazon Kindle Bookstore. The marketing manager will support the marketing of Kindle books in English and Spanish for the Kindle Store in the US and Canada. The role will focus on marketing through owned and operated channels including email, push-notifications, and placements in the Kindle store online and on mobile devices.

The right person will thrive on tackling ambiguous business problems through data analysis and smart process design. The ability to interpret datasets, define performance metrics, diagnose areas of under-performance, and identify growth opportunities is a must. Also key to success in this role is the ability to work across multiple stakeholders, balance their priorities, demonstrate bias for action and design simple, efficient processes for executing on complex marketing initiatives.

This role will provide ample opportunity to develop exciting and innovative customer-facing marketing campaigns with the overall objective to grow the Kindle business.

Basic Qualifications

· 3-5 years relevant work experience in marketing roles requiring data analysis, process improvements, creative problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
· Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements
· Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot inefficient, unreliable processes
· Ability to delivers on multiple deadlines, prioritize effectively and comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
· BA/BS required

Preferred Qualifications

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to analyze data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
· Ability to think both strategically and tactically. Comfortable doing both kinds of work.
· Comfortable with a varied set of software and editing tools. Ability to learn new tools quickly.
· Familiarity with HTML and SQL
· Verbal and written communication skills in French
