Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be the world’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online.
Amazon is currently looking for a highly analytical, forward-thinking Financial Analyst to join its fast growing Global Sales team at our Seattle Offices. The Financial Analyst will have responsibility for partnering with the multiple sales teams and leadership and will be driving growth of our Global Selling platform. Global Selling is where merchants sign on to sell in any number of marketplaces outside of their home country. Currently we are experiencing strong demand from Chinese sellers looking to sell their wares all over the globe. The local business team has expanded rapidly and the team needs strong finance support. This person will partner closely with teams on the ground which will include Account Managers, Seller Services, Operations, and Transportation where the individual will conduct analysis and execute initiatives to drive both growth and cost savings within the organization. They will also work with the teams to establish performance metrics for monitoring the performance of growth as well as productivity and savings initiatives and set goals for performance improvements. The individual will be responsible for leading the overall budget and forecasting processes, including the development of the Operating budget for the organization, explanation of performance against the budget, goals, and headcount/OPEX. In addition, this manager will be responsible for interfacing with multiple finance teams to make sure that there is clear lineage on what the forecast and plans are for each marketplace for these outbound merchants which is especially important given the uniqueness of accounting/tax/ financial control requirements. S/he will be an influential business partner, providing solid business judgment, strong controllership, and the capability to drive a fast paced organization to the right results with a focused and pragmatic approach to the business.
