TenMarks, an Amazon company headquartered in Foster City, CA, is on a mission to build a brighter future for students. Hundreds of thousands of students across the country already use TenMarks Math to help improve and maintain their math skills. We are looking to add amazing people to our content team who have a passion for transforming education.

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Foster City, CA.

The curriculum developer will write high quality, standards-aligned content and collaborate with fellow writers and editors to improve the quality of content. You will:
  • Write creative, engaging content to teach and assess student learning
  • Design lessons for learners at all levels
  • Dive deeply into research on CCSS and state standards on ELA to ensure content-alignment
  • Work closely with editing team to revise and improve content
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build great products

Basic Qualifications

  • You are an imaginative, engaging writer. You can write based on any stimulus/prompt and can teach others to do the same.
  • You have a passion for language and all its aspects. Vocabulary development, grammar, syntax, and spelling are your game.
  • You have familiarity with CCSS ELA standards, a deep understanding of pedagogy, and the ability to impart your love of the written word to your students.
  • You welcome feedback on your writing, turn around and make it twice as good.
  • You have 3 - 5 years of experience working in educational technology, educational publishing or educational assessment.
  • You have proven ability to develop curriculum with an understanding of how it plays out in a classroom.
  • You excel at multitasking and delivering results on time.
  • You want to join a collaborative, committed team that works hard, plays hard, and never stops creating.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Teaching credential (single subject or multiple subject)
  • M.A. in education or English
  • 3 - 5 years of teaching experience at the K-8 level
  • Experience developing curricular materials for use in the classroom
  • Experience in edtech or at a publishing company
  • You are tech-savvy and excited about edtech.
