The Amazon Video team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact programs to enable millions of users worldwide to enjoy movies and TV shows on mobile devices, living room devices, and the web. The Amazon Video Senior Technical Program Manager will be responsible for owning and driving the delivery of Amazon Video projects. As part of this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across many groups within and outside Amazon Video while getting deep insights into our entire business.

This job will challenge you on various fronts – you’ll need to have the ability to understand what it takes to launch large scale services and features that involve multiple teams within and outside of Amazon Video. You will solve technical challenges in optimization, live streaming, large-scale computing, distributed systems, web applications, scalability, security, and algorithms just to name a few. You will drive future solutions that will impact how we run Amazon Video worldwide and interface with many teams. In addition to this, you’ll need to be able to influence and deliver exceptional user experiences across multiple platforms including mobile, living room devices, Fire Tv and the web. You will also need to frequently engage business, product and technology leaders and be a strong advocate for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
  • 7+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry, including hands-on management of large, cross-functional software efforts
  • Ability to conceptualize complex interrelated applications and system platforms, as well as the ability to effectively communicate those systems to non-technical team members and business partners
  • Experience managing efforts in distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects through work prioritization, planning and task delegation
  • Strong bias for action and a "get it done" attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Video playback and streaming technologies
  • Experience with distributed computing and service oriented architecture.
  • Master’s degree in computer science and/or business administration
