Job Description

AWS is one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses, servicing millions of customers in more than 190 countries, reshaping the way global enterprises consume information technology and powering the developers who are building the next generation of global industry leaders. AWS customers include some of the most innovative startups like Netflix, Pintrest, Spotify, Airbnb and Instagram, as well as some of the largest global enterprises like Shell, Unilever, Hitachi, Sharp, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Samsung.

AWS is looking for an experienced technical leader for a Solutions Architecture team focused on our top Technology Partners. This is a senior management position for someone who can build teams quickly, establish relationships and set strategy at a senior level with AWS product teams, measure and deliver results, and also get hands-on to help build complex, AWS-optimized architectures.

The ideal candidate has experience building and leading distributed teams of senior architects or similar roles at large enterprises. Alliances or enterprise customer-facing experience is required. Hands-on experience working on complex architectures or legacy application modernization is a big plus. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required, provided you have experience working in complex virtualized environments. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers at both strategic partners and AWS service teams.

This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Amazon is an Equal Opportunity-Affirmative Action Employer – Minority / Female / Disability / Veteran / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation.
