Job Description

Amazon’s Linehaul Transportation business is seeking a highly skilled and motivated leader to assist in recruiting and developing a team with the technical skills required for asset management, standard maintenance repair time execution, ensuring repair quality, regulatory compliance and strategic planning and execution. Amazon’s Linehaul movements flow into and out of our North American Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers and our associated fulfillment network.

An ideal candidate has an extensive background in fleet asset maintenance and standard processes related maintenance repairs, vendor selection and compliance to national account supplier agreements. S/he must have the ability to lead a team, access and analyze data, standardize processes, drive process improvement, hold repair vendors accountable for quality repairs and develop budgets and achieve financial budget targets. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex maintenance / asset issues, while having a bias to get things done and deliver results.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years maintenance repair and vendor management
  • Proven complex problem solving and project management skills
  • Demonstrable mathematics and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a business environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency utilizing maintenance scheduling and execution planning software
  • Financial budgeting, forecasting and action planning skills
  • Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) process flow documentation and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented work environment
  • Must be proficient in excel, word and comfortable using excel or other data analysis tools
  • Up to 50% travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years maintenance repair and vendor management
  • Proven complex problem solving and project management skills
  • Comfortable environmental compliance and maintenance related facility management, including fuel islands and truck wash
