Its still day-1 for AWS (Amazon Web Services) WorkSpaces. If you are passionate about cloud services, VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) solutions, mobile apps, distributed systems then AWS WorkSpaces is the one for you.

AWS WorkSpaces is a managed desktop computing service in the cloud. WorkSpaces allows customers to access desktops in cloud. It allows end users to access the documents, applications and resources they need using a client device of their choice, including laptops, iPad, Kindle Fire, Android tablets, Chromebooks and zero clients. The client device and application list is going to grow, features within WorkSpaces are going to expand, Customers are going to increase and Cloud WorkSpaces are set to soar. So we need engineers like you to help in qualifying our new features, setting high bar on releases and voice for customers.

We are looking for Quality Assurance Engineers who can work on distributed systems, test end-to-end of the windows management console that allocate WorkSpaces in the cloud and test WorkSpaces application from different clients and platforms such as Windows, iOS, Android, FireOS, Chromebooks and Zero Clients. You will have the great opportunity to work from requirements to releases, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Developers, Development Managers, External and Internal Teams and Customers. You will have the responsibility to work on test plans, code reviews, automation development, development of test scripts, test distributed systems and understanding services, metrics. As part of the team, you’ll have the opportunities to work on several technology areas that ensures seamless WorkSpaces experience. You will also develop automation packages to qualify the WorkSpaces host services end-to-end. You will work on challenges such as reducing the time it takes to provision virtual desktops, enhance the management capabilities of the console while maintaining its simplicity, validating internal and external APIs and building tools for data collection, analysis and monitoring to improve customer experience and smooth operation. You will play a central role in delighting customers and vouching on features that are set to go. We have challenging scenarios to test and has wider scope to bring in tools, techniques to test out of box and deliver.

Also this is a great opportunity to on AWS technologies and Amazon services like EC2, EBS, DynamoDB, EMR and SWF.

Basic Qualifications


  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of software testing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, test automation and test execution.
  • Fluent in at least one scripting language; Ability to do code reviews, write scripts; test code and identify solution to the problem
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience driving end-to-end software quality

Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated QA experience in an SDET or QAE role.
  • Experience with user-level automation frameworks and scripting via Perl, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Practical coding experience with automated testing tools, services, and physical devices
  • Skilled in one programming langauge like Java, C, C++ etc
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate impacts and to understand business requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize results.
  • Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness for the entire team.
  • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
  • Thought leadership on emerging quality assurance methodologies and best practices.
