The NACF Continuous Improvement (CI) team is seeking a qualified Program Manager to build programs that remove waste and improve efficiency of FC processes to sustain world class operations in midst of Amazon’s explosive growth. In this role, you will dive deep into Fulfillment Center Processes, identify defect sources, build programs and improve processes to eliminate defects and waste, and influence Operations to sustain a culture of continuous improvement and growth. This role calls for an individual who is technically smart to gain credibility with customers and stake holders at various levels of the organization.

The Principal Program Manager role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of FC Operators and Associates. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Operations, AFT, AR, IB Supply Chain, Launch, S&OP, Capacity Planning, Finance etc. to deploy solutions at scale.

· Will compile, manage and report on weekly project metrics and be responsible for leading many high profile meetings to align on project requirements
· Build relationships and identify with stakeholders across the organization
· Has the technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams
· Has fulfillment center operational skills to identify and implement solutions that scale with our scale

Some examples of innovations led by our Principal Program Managers include:
· Targeting inventory damage defects using big data:
Leveraged big data to identify failure modes and work streams to pin point and eliminate process defects; standardizes and sustain changes for long term financial validation
· Diagnosing and reducing customer concessions :
Leverage stemming and word counting to convert customer comments to actionable data and use this data to preserve customer experience by eliminating process defects in the operational flow leading to missing, wrong or damaged items
· Reducing operational complexity and decision making in labor staffing:
Reduced operational complexity by automating decision making of labor staffing while achieving job rotation and performance based prioritization

Basic Qualifications

  • Technical (Math, Engineering, Science) Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Position requires 8+ years of successful leadership experience in project management and facilitation of large cross-functional teams in business operations and technology process improvement areas.
  • 5+ years’ experience instructing Executives, Managers, Associates and CI champions on Lean methodologies and/or Technology Projects
  • Advanced knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques and a great desire to develop others to an advanced level
  • Must be willing to travel as necessary, up to 75%
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics
  • Experience in or demonstrated ability to lead people/teams without formal responsibility and interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA preferred
· Experience with an e-commerce company is a plus
· Ability to think both strategically and tactically
· Curiosity to dig several layers deep into metrics, have an innate desire to understand key drivers and whether they are the correct or best metrics to measure/manage a business or process
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
· Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
· Innovative and self-directed
· Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion
· Experience managing people
· Knowledge of MySQL, stimulation software and redshift
