    The Amazon Digital Devices and Services team is seeking an innovative, results-oriented, customer-centric team player and leader to help negotiate and execute new strategic partnerships with mobile, consumer electronics, and connected device manufacturers.

    As Principal, Business Development you will work closely with senior leadership and product development teams to secure and develop strategic partnerships with major technology brands. This role will support key Amazon relationships and help drive the strategy and execution of high impact partnerships for Echo, Alexa, and Amazon. You will be responsible for critical aspects of the Alexa business, influencing partner product strategy, and executing partnerships for one of Amazon's fastest-growing businesses. You will identify and drive integration opportunities with partners, while laying the groundwork for longer-term, strategic partnerships.

    Specific responsibilities include the following:
    • Serve as a key member of the Amazon Digital Devices and Services team in helping to define and deliver the overall Alexa strategy
    • Set and execute strategy for engaging with partners, including prioritizing technology partners, negotiating agreements, and managing ongoing relationships
    • Execute plans while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. product, legal, marketing)
    • Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management regarding progress and roadblocks

    Basic Qualifications

    • 12-15 years of post-degree business development experience in the mobile, IoT, and/or high-tech industries in both high impact individual contributor and team leadership roles.
    • Bachelor's degree required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience identifying and executing complex large-scale, high impact partnership deals (technology, hardware, software, services, and marketing.)
    • Ability to think strategically, innovatively and creatively using sound business judgment and quantitative skills
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, milestone tradeoffs, and opportunistic product ideas with technical employees
    • Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences
    • Proven leadership, problem solving, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
    • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
