Job Description

Data Center Global Services (DCGS) is looking for a developer experienced with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, SQL, and AWS. Position requires excellent communication and general programming skills.

Job Summary
This position is part of the technical communication team serving data center facility operations. Assignments may include:
  • Adding features to business applications
  • Integrating with AWS tools through their APIs
  • Create meaningful, user-friendly reports from a database
  • Writing business applications to improve processes and metrics
  • System administration

Basic Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software, or other programming-focused discipline
  • Experience with Linux/Unix and Ruby on Rails.
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures
  • Computer Science fundamentals in problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Proficiency in a general purpose, modern programming language such as Java
Other Requirements:
* Potential domestic and international travel

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years professional experience in software development
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Knowledge of algorithms
  • Ability to drive consensus on technical design within the team and across teams.
  • Experience in system architecture and web application design.
  • Experience in launching applications globally.
  • Ability to build solutions that scale and perform.
  • Familiarity with electrical units and concepts
