Job Description

Event Producers serve as the Production Team ambassador to the client, and the voice of the client to the in-house Production Engineers, collaborating to produce high quality corporate events. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the largest and most dynamic on-campus events for Amazon. A successful candidate will be an experienced live events professional, who is able to step seamlessly into a corporate office environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, impeccable customer service attitude, and be energetically driven to serve our customers and the team.
Responsibilities Include
· Prompt, thorough, professional communication with all team members, Client, and business partners.
· Proactively engage with Team and Client to pursue process improvements
· Search out opportunities to help others improve skillsets and knowledge base
· Pre-event:
  • Assist Clients with pre-booking walkthroughs and facility reservations
  • Event script preparation and distribution
  • Provide estimates of AV vendor labor costs to be incurred
  • Technical resource scheduling for equipment and labor
  • Thorough testing of equipment use cases ahead of event
  • Navigate and support Client media playback and presentation methods
  • Clear communication with all team members and stakeholders
· Event execution:
  • Coordination of technical services for assigned events, including audio-visual equipment, and relevant facility operations
  • Coordination of AV vendor labor resources
  • Optimizing audio, video, lighting and staging for the best quality attainable
  • Direction of the technical team; calling the show
  • Dynamically flex to Client needs and complications
· Post-event:
  • Oversee proper strike of event space(s)
  • Review services rendered vs. estimates to update billing
  • Gathering of event data and client feedback within a common metrics reporting system

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with event AV and live event planning
  • Working knowledge with audio, video, lighting and staging systems
  • Ability to use AV resources to increase production value and exceed Client expectations
  • Able to coordinate event production teams upwards of 20 persons
  • Focused, organized and effective in stressful and ambiguous environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can effectively engage at every level of the organization, across several departments
  • Working knowledge of event budgets
  • Understanding of marketing techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with event AV and live event planning
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Intimately acquainted with local event resources
