The Amazon Shopping Cart Experience team is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented Senior Program Manager to define the strategy and lead the rollout of forward-looking customer experiences and product innovations for the Shopping Cart. You will be part of a growing team building innovative, customer-facing software on top of a multi-tiered rendering platform and service-oriented architecture, requiring a unique blend of frontend and backend skills and a constant desire to raise the bar for today's shopping experience. We enhance and simplify the Shopping Cart experience using contextually relevant information like location, delivery speed, and availability and predictive data. We design and build predictive algorithms to dynamically organize your Shopping Cart based on behavior models and preferences. To allow teams across Amazon to contribute their software to improve the experience, we continuously iterate on a modular, highly scalable architecture. Your work as a Senior Program Manager impacts billions of customers who use and rely on Amazon every day.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will work closely with stakeholders, software engineers and product teams to deliver our most complex, high quality, scalable Shopping Cart features deployed across Amazon websites and devices worldwide. You will work with all the stakeholders to assemble project teams, assign responsibilities, identify appropriate resources needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of projects by meeting project milestones. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit. Successful PM candidates will have a technical background, be detail driven and have excellent problem solving abilities.
