As a Hardware Support Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to develop innovative products. You will support our internal engineering and operations teams through all phases of the product development process from proof of concept testing through final deployment. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed in a fast paced collaborative environment.

The Role:
  • Work with senior engineers to develop and document test plans
  • Work with senior engineers to specify test equipment and custom test station hardware and software
  • Hands-on assembly and qualification of test station hardware and development of test station software
  • Carry out engineering verification and validation testing including optical, mechanical, and electrical testing
  • Perform hands-on bring-up of new hardware, testing and troubleshooting
  • Document tests results and prepare test reports for presentation to senior management
  • Maintain test equipment and laboratory space for efficient operations
  • Assist senior engineers with day to day laboratory and documentation tasks
  • Multitask and deliver on multiple projects concurrently

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or engineering discipline
  • Engineering laboratory experience and hands-on laboratory skills
  • Understanding of basic electrical and optical test equipment, meters, scopes
  • Proficiency with MATLAB
  • Ability to format and organize complex data sets for presentation
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new engineering concepts and test methods
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and root cause analysis on hardware, and test stations
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and diverse technical environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with optical test methods and qualification of electronic imaging systems
  • Proficient in Linux
  • Working expertise in C/C++, MatLab, Python
  • Strong metrics and operational excellence focus.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical aptitude to quickly grasp complex technical issues and communicate directly with technical teams.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on technical projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders.
