Amazon is investing heavily to build a global, best in class advertising business and our organization is responsible for defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive product discovery and sales. We deliver billions of ad impressions and millions of clicks daily and are breaking fresh ground to create world-class products.
Our Advertiser Intelligence team is looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to participate in the full development lifecycle of recommendation that help advertisers easily create and manage even the largest campaigns. We are highly motivated, collaborative and fun-loving with an entrepreneurial spirit and bias for action. We are also growing at an unprecedented rate with a seemingly endless range of new product opportunities.
We work closely with data scientists and other engineers to take machine learning models and other innovations from the lab to large scale production. As an engineer within Advertiser Intelligence, you’ll have a direct impact on customers by putting our vast oceans of data to work so we can help our advertisers optimize how their brands and products are surfaced to customers, while also improving the Amazon shopper experience.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality, consistency, maintainability, scalability, performance, security and all the other things that make great software great. In addition, you should be an advocate of true agile development methodology (not because someone told you to embrace it, but because you've turned the corner and have realized the personal and organizational benefits).
You will be a technical leader across all team projects, driving the systemic qualities of our team's services, and influencing teams around us to ensure that we are all moving toward the same goal. You will also be a technical owner of at least one, including the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end (so your mind doesn't get rusty, and your fingers stay limber).
This position requires collaboration with other engineers, UX designers, product managers, and partner teams, necessitating a comfort-level with ambiguity and a desire to create, iterate and improve.
