Our team drives innovation to expand the reach and impact of our advertising products. We incubate new advertising formats and placements, targeting and relevance models, and advertiser controls that extend the capabilities of our self-service advertising platform to create value for advertisers that isn’t available through our standard self-service experience. Our engineering team builds new features and services to create new functionality in ad placements, ad sourcing, targeting and auction, and advertiser experience to unlock value for advertisers. We invent where we can create value, and where possible, we extend and innovate on the capabilities of existing systems. We build advertiser adoption and engagement programs to grow our business to its full potential within each product category. We partner with leaders in retail and marketplace to help categories use self-service advertising to accelerate their growth.
We are looking for a visionary product manager to be the single threaded owner of the advertising business for the Media categories globally (Books, Music, Video, DVD, Video Direct, Games). You will own the overall vision, strategy and roadmap. You will partner with a diverse set of global stakeholders including search experience, retail customer experience, marketing and many others. You will guide a dedicated engineering, design and program management team to deliver your initiatives. This is a highly visibile role as Media is a strategic category for the retail and advertising teams.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Defining customer, advertiser and publisher experience
2. Communicating this vision to senior leadership for buyin
3. Partnering with engineering, marketing, design, sales, category and other teams to execute on your vision
4. Reporting on our progress in weekly and monthly business reviews
5. Owning all aspects of the annual planning process for these categorie
