Job Description

Want to improve the Amazon shopping experience with engaging video, customer insights, and deep machine learning optimizations? Our team is building a video platform to re-imagine Amazon as a video-centric shopping destination. If you love being customer-centric, thinking big and moving fast then this is the position for you! Our team is building machine learning architectures to analyze and deliver millions of videos to customers. You can work with our business partners to create algorithms that process, curate, relate and rank videos for customers.

Our team loves data and we have lots of it. When you join our team, you will use machine learning to harness that data by building a new video platform. You will improve our customers’ experiences, drive large business growth, and tackle these exciting computational domains:
  • Video and image analysis to identify objects and concepts
  • Speech to text translation and natural language processing
  • Machine learning, both human-guided and unguided Recommendations, personalization, ranking, search optimization
  • Flexible and fast rules engines to filter and select videos
  • Full-stack web sites for managing and moderating videos

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years professional experience in software development
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving
  • Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Java, C#, C++, Nodejs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in computer science
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Video and Media Experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
