DESCRIPTION
Looking for seasoned DevOps with CICD experience.
The Developer Management and Tools (DMT) team works with and supports services like CloudFormation, CloudTrail, AWS-SDK. As a member of the AWS DPTSE team, you will be exposed to most AWS services and technologies. Our systems engineers work in a fast-paced environment with our multi-disciplined service teams to deliver these cutting-edge services to our customers.

AWS is looking for engineers passionate about operations and a desire to learn and be curious about Amazon's internal and external services. DPTSE team members own the scaling and management of services across AWS regions supporting the US Government.


This is a true DevOps role; you will be both expected and allowed to follow problems all the way to the end and work on implementing real solutions and not just quick fixes. A candidate who wants to go deep and understand how these large systems work well get a chance to excel in this position.

In this position, you’ll get to:
· Work with other engineers to build and manage massively scaled services
· Build tools to automate common tasks and processes
· Track the health of our services, identify and fix problems on complex systems with massive scale
· Collaborate with some of the leading minds in distributed systems


This position requires that applicant selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain a TS/SCI US Government clearance with polygraph.
TS/SCI eligibility is not required to start; however, the applicant selected will be subject to a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified national security information. Applicants with a current SSBI, SBPR, or PPR, may be eligible for crossover in accordance with ICPG 704.4.

Basic Qualifications


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 1 year of Linux/Windows administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations support
  • Introductory/Basic Shell Scripting experience
  • Introductory/Basic Networking experience



Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in a 24x7 production environment, esp. one based on Linux
  • Development of systems management and administration automation in an advanced scripting language Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills at all levels, from application to network to host
  • Experience with performance testing and tuning
  • Automation or monitoring framework experience, deployment or development
  • Experience with very large distributed systems such as multi-terabyte storage farms, and/or horizontally scaled request processing fleet
